The secret of East Bay Children's Theatre's longevity and consistent quality is the enthusiasm and talent of our volunteers, supported by high-caliber hired professionals. Our volunteers help with costumes and sets, handle the lighting, sound equipment and sets as well as perform the age-old musical folk tales under the direction of a professional director and music director. We also hire professional set and costume designers.

You can support EBCT in a number of ways. You can volunteer to work behind the scenes in our productions, audition to be on stage with us, come to our public performances to support us financially, or make a tax-deductible donation or will bequest to help us continue our mission of bringing live theater productions to underprivileged children.

You don't need any previous experience to become a part of our group. The following is just a sample of ways you can volunteer your talents to EBCT:

• Build and paint sets
• Sew costumes
• Help with publicity
• Contact and work with the schools
• Perform in plays
• Act as our Stage Manager
• Crew our performances
• Operate lights and/or sound equipment

We also have a special need for someone who would like to volunteer his/her accounting expertise!
